THE STODDARD WELLNESS EXPERIENCE

Hi! I'm Shelby Stoddard

Patients in Island Park often tell me the same thing: specialized care means a long drive somewhere else, or going without. I built my telehealth practice so that doesn't have to be the trade-off.

Thirty years in nursing, the last ten focused entirely on functional medicine, taught me that the depth of care you receive shouldn't depend on the size of the town you live in.

If you've had standard labs come back "normal" while the fatigue, brain fog, weight changes, or mood shifts haven't resolved, you already know what conventional medicine tends to miss. I built my practice for exactly this kind of patient, men and women alike: people who need someone to look at the whole system, not the next isolated complaint, and who deserve that kind of care no matter where they live.

MY APPROACH

Intentionally Curated Medicine

I don't run a volume-based clinic, and I don't accept insurance, because both of those models push toward speed over depth. What I offer my Island Park patients instead is a standard of care as individual as they are — built on advanced diagnostic labs, a real review of your history, and an integrated view of how your mind, hormones, gut, nervous system, and immune system are functioning together.

I emphasize this integration because sickness rarely originates in one place. Trauma, toxin exposure, and other pathological insults accumulate at the cellular level, and the symptoms that show up downstream — fatigue, cognitive decline, hormonal imbalance — are often signals of that deeper disruption. My role is to help you trace those signals back to their source, wherever you're located.

SPECIALIZED CARE

Hormone Optimization for Men and Women

Hormonal imbalance is one of the most common reasons Island Park patients reach out to me, and it affects men and women differently enough that I treat it as its own area of focus. I offer bioidentical hormone optimization built from advanced diagnostic labs and an individualized approach — not a standardized protocol applied the same way to everyone.

For patients of either gender, that can mean addressing fatigue, mood disorders, weight gain, cognitive issues, brain fog, adrenal fatigue, or osteoporosis risk. The starting point is always the same: real lab work, a careful history, and a plan built around what your body is actually telling us.

Men's Health

For the men I work with, hormone imbalance often shows up as low testosterone, sexual dysfunction, or a general sense of declining vitality that's easy to dismiss as "just getting older." I don't dismiss it. Low testosterone is measurable and treatable, and many of the men I see find that addressing it resolves several connected concerns at once — energy, mood, body composition, and sexual health among them.

I also offer dedicated sexual wellness care for men seeking to restore confidence and intimacy, handled with the clinical discretion that subject deserves.

Women's Health

Women's hormonal health involves its own distinct set of patterns, and I give it dedicated attention rather than folding it into a generic hormone protocol. I regularly work with Island Park women on perimenopause and menopause symptoms, PMS and PMDD, PCOS, thyroid dysfunction, low libido, fatigue and adrenal issues, weight gain, and hair loss or thinning.

My approach starts with comprehensive hormone testing — estrogen, progesterone, testosterone, thyroid, and cortisol — followed by bioidentical hormone replacement therapy, peptide therapy, or functional medicine testing to identify root contributors like gut health and inflammation, depending on what your results actually show.

WEIGHT & VITALITY

Metabolic Health, Fitness, and IV Nutrition

For patients of either gender working on weight loss, metabolic health, or general vitality, I build individualized fitness and nutrition plans, with GLP-1 support available when it fits your physiology and goals.

Most of this care, including ongoing coaching and plan adjustments, happens through telehealth, so consistent support doesn't depend on travel.

ADVANCED THERAPIES

Also Available at Stoddard Wellness

Beyond hormone and metabolic care, I offer a small set of advanced therapies for patients who need them: regenerative medicine (Prolozone, PRP, and stem cell therapy for joint pain and tissue repair), chelation therapy (safe, time-tested heavy metal detoxification), IV nutrition therapy, and aesthetics using your body's own biological resources to restore a healthy, vibrant appearance. For patients in Island Park, we'll talk through the best way to access any treatment that requires an in-person visit as part of your care plan.

YOUR PATIENT JOURNEY

How Care Works for Island Park Patients

Patients I serve Island Park patients through telehealth, and you remain my patient from the first consultation through every follow-up — I review your labs, build your plan, and stay directly involved in your care the entire time, regardless of distance. For the small number of treatments that require hands-on delivery, we'll discuss your options together and find an approach that works for your situation. Living somewhere rural shouldn't mean settling for less thorough care.

When you work with me, you aren't a patient on a chart for fifteen minutes a year. You're a member of a private wellness community, and that relationship doesn't end when the appointment does. I follow up personally to make sure your care plan is working and your experience reflects the standard I hold myself to.
